Faith
As a pastor and theologian I want to know who Jesus is and the power of His humble way of service and love. I also want to share the legacy of the Black American Church tradition in which I was raised to impact the spiritual life of others and to help foster healing for the many divisions within the Church.
Society
The goal in all that I do is to bring healing to others, and to be an agent of healing for the rifts within society. I want divisions to cease and brokenness to be mended so that, as the Rev. Dr. King once said, a new and better world can come about.
History
There is a growing interest in the history of Africa and the African Diaspora, and I am taking part in the many efforts to meet it through teaching and storytelling. I want to spread more awareness about this wonderful history that it might be better known and valued.
