Person

I am an American born in the beautiful state of Louisiana. I come from a close-knit family with Black-Creole roots, and am a husband to an amazing wife and father to a wonderful son. I am also an artist who enjoys the beauty of life, a learner who enjoys the beauty of knowledge, and a traveler who enjoys the the beauty of the world.

Theologian

Since childhood I have loved to think and talk about God, and out of this I studied theology and became an ordained Presbyterian pastor. I also love to think and talk about God from a variety of social and cultural perspectives, and much of my work as a theologian focuses on Ecumenism and the African Diaspora.

Storyteller

In my culture storytelling is a prized tradition and art, and we believe that stories have the power to heal and change the world around us. Some of the stories that I like to share are the folktales of my people and the history of Africa and the African Diaspora. I tell these stories in a variety of settings, from gatherings with family and friends to classrooms with fellow learners.
