Today’s Divine is Thomas Manton, who was a pastor that took part in the Westminster Assembly. Despite facing many great sufferings he always preached a message of joy and found comfort in the friendship of God.

My Lord Jesus, as I seek to be Your servant may I never forget Your friendship which nothing can break. Thank You for this precious bond and all the joys within it, and may these joys bring me delight in God as I delight in You. The God, Who like a parent, claims me as His child. To Him, to You, and to the Holy Spirit be all honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
