Dear reader,

Tomorrow my country will end a harsh election season, and find out who will get to be our 47th President. For some there will be great joy while others feel disappointment, but many will have a sense of relief after months of constant tensions. As for me, my focus has been on the feast of All Saints Day where the dead in Christ are named and honoured with candles of remembrance. This year my current congregation remembered three precious souls, two senior members and a former pastor who were all past the age of 80.
As I reflect on All Saints Day, I find a sense of relief. A relief that is grounded in the hope of Christ and the promised Resurrection. One day the tensions of this world will pass away forever, and life will have the final say while sin and death are silenced. Through my country's election woes, and all other woes at present, I have daily rested in the hope of Christ and the promised Resurrection. For centuries it has carried the Church and brought peace in troubled ages, and I pray that you would feel this peace as you read the latest posts from my website.

Blessings,
-Scotty J. Williams
